Students interested in attending the University of Albany, SUNY should be ready to receive a strong background in modern biology and in research practices and technology. Students can begin at an undergraduate level and continue post-doctoral education and training if they wish. Located in Albany’s State Capitol district, students attending this university have access to all cultural activities, as well as other local restaurants, stores, housing and more. Plus, it’s located near transportation routes that gives access to other cities such as NYC, Boston and Buffalo.

Graduate programs in biomedical sciences include a PhD in Biological Sciences, MS in Biological Sciences, MS in Forensic Biology and an MS in Biodiversity, Conservation and Policy. Each year, only 3-40 students are enrolled making the admissions process highly competitive. If you did not receive your undergraduate degree here, or if you are from out-of-state you may find it very difficult to get accepted if your tests scores and GPA average is not sufficient.
