MSCD, or Metropolitan State College of Denver was founded in 1965 and is proud that nearly 80% of their alumni live and work in Denver and the State of Colorado. MSCD offers accepted students a four-year program in Criminalistics. MSCD also offers its students the lowest tuition among the top 5 universities in Colorado, making it an affordable choice for prospective forensic scientists. Among its Criminalistics program, the school also offers 54 major fields of study and 82 minors. The average class size is under 20, giving students the one-on-one time with faculty they need.

Admission Requirements

The following items are required to be accepted into MSCD:

  • Completed application
  • Official transcripts from all higher education institutions attended
  • Official transcripts from high school with class rank
  • 2.3 GPA
  • ACT or SAT test results
  • Complete the CCHE (Colorado Commission on Higher Education)- Index scores must be higher than 76 to be considered
