The University of New Haven was founded in 1920, and since then has added more than 80 undergraduate degrees and more than 25 graduate degrees. In fact, the Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences plan’s to launch a new PhD program in criminal justice beginning Fall 2010. There are three major academic departments within the University of New Haven: Criminal Justice, Forensic Sciences, and Fire Science & Professional Studies. Students can learn disciplines in fields such as DNA analysis, sociology, law, biology, chemistry, crime victim advocates, police officers and more.

Admission Requirements

The following items are required for admissions:

  • Pay the fee for the application ($75 for paper applications, online is free)
  • Official transcripts from all undergraduate coursework
  • 2 letters of recommendation (online application does not require letters of recommendation)
  • Resume
  • Submit GRE scores
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 3.0 GPA minimum
