Founded in 1879, this university was named after Texas’ greatest hero, General Sam Houston. The Master of Science in Forensic Science is a 2-year, full-time, non-thesis graduate program. Classes include crime scene investigation, controlled substances, trace evidence, forensic biology and more. All MSFS students are required to complete a 10-week full-time internship at a crime laboratory to graduate. This gives students a great opportunity to network for future employment. This program has strong ties within the private and public sectors of the criminal justice field, and internships can be the key to success. Students get plenty of exposure to the newest technologies and equipment in Penn State’s facilities.
